About FEED
Who We Are
FEED stands for Food, Education, and Enriched Diets—but more than an acronym, it’s a promise. A promise to stand with communities facing hunger and malnutrition and to work together toward a healthier, more nourished future.
We are a grassroots initiative dedicated to combating malnutrition through culturally grounded nutrition education, sustainable food systems, and community empowerment. What began as a passion project has grown into a movement focused on dignity, health equity, and lasting impact.
We work closely with families in underserved areas, particularly in remote Indigenous villages to provide resources, support, and knowledge that nourish not just bodies, but entire communities.
Our Mission
To empower communities to overcome malnutrition by providing nutrition education, food support, and sustainable dietary solutions rooted in cultural understanding and local leadership.
Our Vision
A world where every child has the knowledge, resources, and opportunity to grow up healthy free from the burdens of hunger and preventable diseases.
Our Story
FEED was founded on the frontlines of public health—born from real-world experiences in remote areas where children were dying before reaching adulthood. After witnessing heartbreaking levels of childhood malnutrition firsthand, our founder and team of volunteers launched FEED as a way to respond not just with charity, but with sustainable, empowering change.
Through partnerships with local leaders, NGOs, health professionals, and educators, we began implementing targeted interventions tailored to the unique needs of each village. Over time, our work has expanded beyond just meals—to teaching, listening, and building tools for self-sufficiency and long-term health.
What Makes FEED Different
Community-Led Approach: We don’t impose solutions—we collaborate. Local knowledge and culture shape every intervention.
Education First: We believe lasting change starts with knowledge. From family cooking classes to youth health workshops, we equip communities to make informed choices.
Sustainable Nutrition: Our programs include sustainable gardening, food supplementation, and culturally adapted food practices like the integration of Golden Rice.
Cultural Respect: We work in partnership with indigenous populations, recognizing the richness of their traditions while supporting health equity.
Where We Work
Our primary focus is in rural and indigenous regions of the Philippines, where health services are limited, food insecurity is high, and childhood mortality remains devastatingly common. These include mountain villages, off-grid communities, and farming regions often forgotten by formal systems.
